bumble

a hiding bee.. on the side of the small white clover...diligently working... reminding me of 'good work ethic'
always continuing onto the next task...

"oh this? it's an m.c.c."

popped into a a new boutique...
muse.
she loved my dress.
"oh this? it's an m.c.c."
"trying out my spring '11 line"
the world is surprising...
never knowing who will take notice of my work...
and who will be supporting m.c.c. along the way...

cfi happenings

so much is going on at the chicago fashion incubator.. all six of us are running around like crazy preparing everything for a very busy month of july... sampling, fashion show, photo shoots, branding, bus. filing, the list goes on and on...

a glimpse behind the doors of the 11th floor at macy's on state st.
preparing for our cfi photo shoot...an amazing group of designers i am honored to be working beside this year...

the storm

the sun faded away and the front blew in...

the aftermath..

he just stopped
to visit his girlfriend..

a four hundred year old tree fallen to its fate..

nature's power and destruction has disconnected this
world...

under the sun

perched along the shore...water warms. sand heats. and clouds float away...the children come alive...

and scream out to the horizon where the water blends into the sky...

in transit

it comes from behind
rushing to pass the sun

taste the cool water

water spraying...
cool droplets covering their faces...not a care in the world...
only in search of relief...the world at peace when a child's world lights up...

m.c.c. spring '11: the second phase almost complete

hours of work. yards of paper. retaped and retraced. inches added and inches cut away. spring '11 patterns almost complete.

heart clovers

a sign of love found in an unexpected pasture...

late night thoughts.

i find myself late at night...
stitching the pieces of fabric to become one...
artificial light guides my hands...
after a day of running from old friend to the next...
i have one last reminder from the biggest surprise of them all...
he told me: 'live inspired by the world that you live'
that's what i hope to do...
